Kenwood BM250 Breadmaker

The Kenwood BM250 is one of Kenwood’s more popular bread makers available at the moment. At only £65 RRP it’s certainly reasonably priced and delivers enough features to make it a bread machine to consider. In this BM250 review I’ll talk a bit about the specifications of the breadmaker and then move onto what people are saying about it.[phpzon keywords="kenwood BM250" num="2" country="UK" searchindex="Kitchen" trackingid="wiuk-21" sort="salesrank" templatename="default" paging="true"]

Features and Specifications

  • As you’d expect from a modern bread machine there are a number of different programmes you can use to bake a variety of breads. For example, there’s a dough setting for cakes and croissants and even a setting to make jam. If you want versatility then the Kenwood BM250 certainly won’t let you down. Being able to use your breadmaker to bake bread in the morning and then dough for an evening treat is certainly an attractive proposition.
  • Speaking of versatility, the BM250 also comes with the ability to bake three different sized loaves (up to 1kg in weight). There’s also the standard crust colour setting that’s become standard amongst many bread makers.
  • Although it isn’t specifically a fastbake machine there is a setting to cook a loaf in less than an hour. No bread machine is able to bake a loaf much quicker than this so it’s certainly an advantage.
  • While most breadmakers have a timer of up to 13 hours the Kenwood BM250 has a delay timer up to 15 hours. There is also a keep warm function which will allow you to keep the bread from going cold for up to an hour. All you need to do is add the ingredients to the machine, set the timer for a certain number of hours and wake up to the smell of a fresh loaf of bread.
  • There is a big window for viewing the progress of the bread as well as an LCD screen giving you information on how long is left to go. The screen also allows you to set the variety of different settings and programmes easily.
  • A cook book is included with the Kenwood BM250 to ensure that you use the right ingredients.
